The Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police & Foundation (VACP) has rolled out a new AI-powered Career Center, built on SmartJobBoard’s recruitment platform, to help law enforcement agencies fill critical vacancies and support professionals seeking career advancement.
The move reflects a growing trend: law enforcement talent is more mobile than ever, with officers and leaders crossing agency lines in pursuit of new opportunities. By pairing an AI-driven job board with professional development and public safety consulting services, VACP is positioning itself as a central hub for building careers in policing across Virginia and neighboring states.
From Static Listings to Smart Matching
Unlike the bulletin board-style postings still common in the public sector, the VACP Career Center uses AI algorithms to actively match candidates with roles that fit their skills and experience. Discounted posting rates for VACP members sweeten the deal for agencies, while the platform remains open to local, campus, state, federal, and even out-of-state police organizations.
