AWS and CodeSignal Launch Global Skills to Jobs Developer Challenges

CodeSignal and the Amazon Web Services Skills to Jobs Tech Alliance have joined forces to launch the Skills to Jobs Developer Challenges, a global initiative aimed at preparing over 20,000 students in the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region for high-impact careers in technology. The pilot phase will kick off in Washington, D.C., and extend to Colombia, Brazil, and Malaysia through a series of virtual events running throughout Spring and Summer 2025.

1. Bridging the Gap Between Education and Employment

With a fast-changing tech landscape, the collaboration seeks to solve a long-standing issue—aligning educational experiences with industry needs.

  • Customized assessments: CodeSignal’s robust evaluation tools help measure job-ready skills.

  • Scalable impact: With expansion plans already underway, the goal is to reach more students globally by the end of 2025.

“At CodeSignal, we believe hands-on learning and high-quality assessments are key to launching successful tech careers,” said Tigran Sloyan, CEO at CodeSignal.

“By collaborating with CodeSignal, we are ensuring students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills,” added Valerie Singer, General Manager of AWS Global Education.

4. Building a Global, Job-Ready Workforce

This initiative reflects a broader commitment by AWS and CodeSignal to workforce equity and technical education access.

  • Education equity: CodeSignal is an AWS Education Equity Initiative Awardee, reinforcing their focus on inclusive learning.

  • Workforce alignment: The program ensures students develop skills that are aligned with in-demand tech and cloud roles.

  • Strategic collaboration: AWS’s cloud expertise and CodeSignal’s assessment technology combine to deliver comprehensive talent readiness.

The Skills to Jobs Developer Challenges are more than coding competitions—they are stepping stones to global tech careers.
