CompuGroup Technologies, LLC (dba CGT Staffing), a leading workforce solutions firm, proudly announces its partnership with the Executive Management Committee (EMC) for the transformative redevelopment of Pittsburgh’s historic Lower Hill District. This 28-acre project is poised to revitalize the community, foster economic growth, and honor the cultural legacy of the Hill District.
About the Partnership
The EMC, comprising civic leaders from Pittsburgh’s City Council, the Mayor’s Office, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Hill CDC, and other local organizations, is spearheading the implementation of the Community Collaboration and Implementation Plan (CCIP).
Key Objectives of the CCIP:
- Address the needs of residents and business stakeholders in the Greater Hill District.
- Promote economic transformation, job creation, and wealth generation.
- Establish a governance framework prioritizing community input, transparency, and best practices.
The Role of Strategic Project Manager
To facilitate these goals, the EMC is hiring a Strategic Project Manager who will:
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks for the redevelopment.
- Ensure community concerns and feedback are central to decision-making.
- Oversee the transparent implementation of the CCIP.
CGT Staffing’s Commitment
Robert A. James, Chief Diversity and Strategic Growth Officer at CGT Staffing, expressed pride in contributing to this culturally significant initiative.
“As a native Pittsburgher, it’s gratifying to support a mission that promotes inclusivity and economic opportunity for the Hill District community,” he stated.
Historical and Cultural Significance
The Hill District has long been a hub of innovation, art, and culture. In its heyday, it was home to prominent African American figures like playwright August Wilson and photographer Teenie Harris. Today, the redevelopment aims to restore this vibrancy while fostering equitable growth for its residents.
CGT Staffing’s partnership with the EMC represents a significant step toward realizing the Hill District’s potential. By fostering collaboration, transparency, and community-focused strategies, this redevelopment project aims to create a brighter, more inclusive future for Pittsburgh’s residents and businesses.
