Firstup, the leader in intelligent workforce communication and engagement, has appointed Bill Schuh as its new Chief Executive Officer. Founder and outgoing CEO Nicole Alvino will transition to Chairwoman of the Board, continuing to guide strategy as the company enters a new growth phase.
The leadership change marks a pivotal moment for Firstup, which has grown into a market leader under Alvino’s tenure—crossing $100 million in annual recurring revenue and transforming from an internal comms tool to a full-fledged AI-powered workforce orchestration platform. Its innovations, including CommunicationsAI and Journey Orchestration, have helped global enterprises improve employee engagement, retention, and productivity.

Schuh Brings Proven Enterprise Growth Expertise
Schuh joins Firstup from Anaplan, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer, helping the company more than double revenue and become a Rule of 55 market leader. Prior to Anaplan, he held executive roles at Medallia and Sunrun, playing a key role in their IPOs.
