Hanson Bridgett LLP announced that veteran labor and employment attorney Ryan Eddings has joined the firm as a partner, becoming Hanson Bridgett’s first attorney based in Fresno, California. The firm plans to open an office in Fresno in 2025, with Eddings spearheading its growth in the Central Valley.
“As California’s fifth-largest city and a key hub for agriculture, business, and innovation, Fresno’s dynamic economy warrants expanded legal services,” said Kristina Lawson, managing partner of Hanson Bridgett LLP. “Ryan’s extensive experience strengthens our presence in the Central Valley, aligning with our commitment to serve clients statewide with sophisticated legal counsel.”
Eddings brings over 15 years of labor and employment expertise from Littler Mendelson P.C., where he led employment disputes including wage-and-hour class actions, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination cases. He also advises on all aspects of employment law, including policies on hiring and termination.
Previously serving as managing shareholder in Littler Mendelson’s Fresno office—nearly doubling its size in three years—Eddings returns to his hometown to support local and national clients across industries like health care and agriculture. He also contributes to the community as a board member of Fresno’s Historic Preservation Committee.
“I’m excited to join Hanson Bridgett, a full-service firm offering a strong platform to deliver world-class counsel,” said Eddings. “I look forward to leading our growth in Fresno and deepening connections with clients.”
Eddings joins other recent lateral partner additions, such as Gregory Reed in Washington, D.C., signaling Hanson Bridgett’s broader expansion strategy.
Eddings holds a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
