Roth Staffing Named to PEOPLE’s 2025 “Companies That Care” List

Culture pays. Just ask Roth Staffing Companies, which has once again been recognized as one of the PEOPLE Companies That Care, landing at No. 87 on the 2025 list. This marks the staffing firm’s fourth time earning the honor, awarded jointly by PEOPLE magazine and Great Place To Work®.

The list is among the most competitive in workplace culture rankings. More than 1.3 million employee survey responses from 8.4 million workers across eligible companies helped determine this year’s honorees. Only companies certified as a Great Place To Work® and employing at least 10 U.S. workers were considered.

How the Ranking Works

Unlike many “best workplace” awards that lean heavily on glossy applications, the Companies That Care list blends employee surveys with company-provided essays, creating a 360-degree view of how businesses treat their people and communities.

In other words: the recognition can’t be bought. The data-driven approach examines how organizations support their employees, contribute to their communities, and act responsibly toward the environment.

A Culture Built on Purpose

For Roth Staffing, the award highlights a people-first culture that leadership says is core to its mission.

“A strong and thriving culture is at the heart of Roth Staffing, which is why we are sincerely honored to be recognized once again,” said Adam Roth, CEO of Roth Staffing Companies. “This recognition reflects the workplace we have built together—firmly rooted in giving back and fulfilling our Purpose: To make life better for the people we serve.”

Being named to the list for the fourth time, Roth added, is a testament to the company’s employees (“coworkers,” in the firm’s parlance), who embody its values daily.

Why It Matters

Recognition programs like Companies That Care aren’t just trophies for the HR shelf—they have recruiting and retention implications. With competition for talent still fierce in many industries, employer brand matters as much as compensation.

And Companies That Care isn’t just about perks or flashy offices. As Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work, puts it: “Caring for your people and your community isn’t something you do after you build a successful business; it’s how to make your business successful.”

That philosophy is increasingly resonating with job seekers who expect companies to align with their values on issues ranging from work-life balance to social responsibility.

The Bigger Picture

For PEOPLE magazine, the annual list is also part of a broader effort to showcase positive corporate leadership. “Witnessing the innovative spirit with which these companies invest in their employees, communities, and the world is truly invigorating,” said Charlotte Triggs, PEOPLE GM and editor-in-chief.

Roth Staffing joins a roster of honorees spanning industries, but all share a common focus: treating people as more than resources and proving that caring culture scales.
