Offerday AI Launches Resume+ to Give Job Applicants a Voice in the Hiring Process

Recruiting software startup Offerday AI, creator of the patent-pending ApplicantIQ technology, is taking another shot at fixing the broken candidate experience with Resume+, a new tool that lets job applicants add their voice—literally—to the hiring process.

With the average job opening in 2025 drawing 2.5x more applications than in 2019, according to Business Insider, recruiters are buried under keyword-stuffed resumes while applicants feel like they’re shouting into the void. Offerday’s Resume+ aims to change that by giving every candidate a chance to stand out while helping recruiters make faster, more informed hiring decisions.

Beyond Keywords: Listening to the Human Story

Resume+ builds on Offerday’s ApplicantIQ matching engine to evaluate not just resume keywords but skills, experience, potential, and organizational fit. A standout feature is the ability for candidates to attach a voice note—a short audio recording that lets them articulate why they’re a great fit in their own words.

It’s a simple addition, but one that could help recruiters rediscover the human side of hiring in an increasingly automated workflow.

“Recruiting teams are overwhelmed while applicants are frustrated, feeling they never had the opportunity to share why they are a good fit,” said Robert Ashjian, Founder and CEO of Offerday. “That’s why we built Resume+. We want candidates to feel they are more than a one- or two-page PDF.”

Streamlining Hiring, Not Just Storytelling

Resume+ integrates with more than 45 Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), allowing teams to plug the tool directly into their existing workflows. The system automates candidate follow-ups and engagement to shorten time-to-hire, while giving recruiters a richer picture of each applicant.

Leveling the Playing Field in a Crowded Market

Offerday’s launch comes as HR tech firms race to enhance the candidate experience and reduce recruiter burnout through automation and AI. Competing solutions like Paradox’s conversational AI and HireVue’s video assessments have tried to make hiring more human—or at least more personal—but Resume+’s voice-first approach may hit a sweet spot between efficiency and empathy.

By merging human authenticity with smart automation, Offerday’s Resume+ could help both sides of the hiring equation feel heard.
