Evanko, who currently serves as President and CEO for Cigna Healthcare and EVP and CFO of The Cigna Group, brings a wealth of experience in healthcare, financial management, and business leadership to the TriNet board.
Brian Evanko’s career spans significant roles in the healthcare and financial sectors, where he has demonstrated a passion for growing customer-centric and responsible businesses. His current role at Cigna Healthcare encompasses oversight of all Cigna Healthcare businesses, including U.S. Employer, International Health, and U.S. Government. As EVP and CFO of The Cigna Group, he manages financial operations, investment management, and underwriting functions across the company.
Prior to his current position, Evanko held a series of financial and operational leadership roles, including:
- President of Cigna Healthcare’s U.S. Government Business: Directed Cigna’s Medicare and Medicaid businesses.
- Business Financial Officer for Cigna’s International Health Operations: Managed financial performance for international health insurance markets.
- Various Actuarial and Financial Roles: Gained extensive experience in actuarial science, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
Evanko’s global experience includes working in Cigna’s offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Philadelphia, PA, before settling in Bloomfield, CT.
Brian Evanko holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science from Pennsylvania State University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). His professional credentials and academic background underscore his deep expertise in financial management and strategic decision-making.
In addition to his professional achievements, Evanko is actively involved in community service. He serves on the National Board of Directors for Back on My Feet, a national organization dedicated to combating homelessness through running, community support, and essential employment and housing resources. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Science Center, which focuses on lifelong learning through science for individuals of all ages.
