French SaaS leader Whoz, known for its staffing optimization platform, has strengthened its leadership lineup with the appointments of Gilles Rigal as Chairman of the Board and José Duarte as Board Member. The move underscores Whoz’s push to expand across Europe and the United States amid growing demand for digital workforce management solutions.
With over 800,000 users in 115 countries, Whoz has become a staple for consulting, engineering, and IT services firms, counting Capgemini, Atos, Devoteam, and Akkodis among its clients. The new appointments aim to leverage high-level industry experience to accelerate its global footprint.
Experienced Tech Leaders at the Helm
Gilles Rigal brings two decades of investment and strategic expertise in software and digital services. Formerly Managing Partner at Seven2 (formerly Apax Partners), he helped guide companies like Infovista, Altran, Inetum, and BIP. A seasoned entrepreneur and SaaS investor, Rigal is expected to steer Whoz’s international growth and expansion initiatives.
José Duarte adds over 30 years of senior leadership experience in global tech. Former CEO of Infovista, Infinitas Learning, and Unit4, and ex-SAP executive overseeing EMEA, India, and Latin America, Duarte also serves on boards for ProAlpha, Hallo, Kinaxis, and Seidor. His operational insight and strategic vision will support Whoz’s ambitions to scale in North America and beyond.
A Signal of International Ambitions
Jean-Philippe Couturier, CEO and co-founder of Whoz, said, “The arrival of Gilles Rigal and José Duarte is a clear signal of our international ambitions. Their expertise in investment, strategy, and operational leadership with world-class technology players will accelerate our expansion, particularly in North America.”
The new additions join an already strong board, which includes PSG Equity managing directors Dany Rammal and Quentin Jonas, private equity attorney Franck Sekri, and Couturier himself, reinforcing governance as the company targets larger enterprise clients.
As competition in workforce management platforms heats up—spanning companies from UK-based PeopleHR to U.S. players like Workday and SAP SuccessFactors—Whoz’s strategic board expansion positions it to capture more of the global staffing SaaS market.
