Workplace violence isn’t just a security risk—it’s a business crisis. U.S. companies are losing an estimated $55.86 billion annually to incidents ranging from threats and harassment to active attacks, not to mention the devastating human toll on employees.
Now, RockDove Solutions and the Center for Personal Protection & Safety (CPPS) are teaming up to tackle the problem with a new Workplace Violence Prevention and Intervention (WVPI) solution, unveiled this week at the GSX Conference in New Orleans.
The platform fuses CPPS’ decades of workplace safety expertise with RockDove’s In Case of Crisis software, giving organizations a centralized system to build, manage, and operationalize WVPI programs. Plans and training modules are embedded directly into the software, allowing employees and leaders to access customized guidance, communicate securely, and coordinate responses in real time.
“This collaboration strengthens employee safety and peace of mind through a unified system that works seamlessly with existing processes,” said Jake Newton, COO at CPPS.
Why It Matters
Workplace violence prevention has historically relied on policy binders and piecemeal training—tools that often fall short in high-pressure situations. By digitizing and operationalizing response plans, RockDove and CPPS are betting on software as a force multiplier for corporate security teams.
Chris Britton, COO at RockDove, framed it as both a people and business imperative: “Together, we’re giving organizations the clarity, readiness, and expert support they need to reduce liability and safeguard their people.”
Where to See It
The joint solution is being showcased live at GSX Booth #2502, with demos highlighting its integrated response tools. To mark the launch, the two companies are also hosting a Day 2 happy hour at Lula Restaurant Distillery, complete with small plates, Lula Spirits, and networking for security leaders. A limited number of Golden Tickets are available for entry.
The Bigger Picture
The announcement comes at a time when workplace safety has become a board-level issue. With employees demanding more protection and regulators sharpening their focus, companies are under pressure to not only prevent violent incidents but also prove they have actionable, defensible plans in place.
By embedding expert-developed training directly into crisis management software, RockDove and CPPS are positioning their WVPI solution as a modern upgrade to an old problem—bringing compliance, culture, and crisis response under one roof.
