Workday Expands AI Contract Analysis With 120+ Pre-Built Models

Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY) is giving legal, HR, and business teams a major productivity boost. The enterprise AI platform has unveiled a Custom AI Model Library for its Contract Intelligence Agent, powered by Evisort, featuring over 120 pre-built models designed to automatically detect clauses, risks, line items, and terms across contracts.

The Workday Contract Intelligence Agent already helps organizations review contracts at scale, flagging risks, tracking obligations, and uncovering hidden opportunities. The new model library extends its reach, allowing teams to analyze everything from employment agreements and vendor contracts to sales deals and lease agreements—all without coding.

“AI in the enterprise often delivers piecemeal automation without true transformation,” said Jerry Ting, VP, head of agentic AI & Evisort, Workday. “We aren’t just adding features; we are giving our Contract Intelligence Agent new skills that solve real business problems. Our goal is to make deep, complex contract analysis fast and actionable for every team.”

What the Library Can Do

The pre-trained models cover a range of functions across multiple departments:

  • Employment agreements: Summarize non-competes and connect terms across HR and payroll systems.

  • Financial terms: Extract dates, amounts, and addresses for faster, more accurate invoice processing.

  • Data privacy & security: Analyze obligations related to access, minimization, deletion, and compliance.

  • Lease agreements: Identify square footage, tax obligations, repair responsibilities, and rights of first refusal.

  • Sales contracts: Extract publicity rights, included products, and renewal terms, with CRM integration.

Customers can deploy the models immediately or refine them via feedback loops—no coding required. The updates promise faster contract reviews, earlier risk detection, and a significant reduction in manual effort, enabling cross-team insights across HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and Sales.

By turning complex legal documents into actionable insights, Workday’s AI offering is becoming a critical tool for operational efficiency, helping organizations reduce bottlenecks and improve decision-making in high-stakes business processes.
