Schneider Electric Launches Major Veteran Hiring Push to Power U.S. Data Centers and Critical Infrastructure

As AI fuels a data center boom, the power behind it all needs people—skilled ones. Schneider Electric, the global energy technology leader, has announced a nationwide initiative to recruit and train U.S. military veterans for roles across its Services business.

The program aims to bring up to 400 new technicians, including transitioning service members, into customer-facing service representative roles supporting data centers, energy systems, and mission-critical facilities that keep the digital economy running.

Powering the AI Economy — One Veteran at a Time

With global industries expanding at record speed—particularly data centers, expected to grow 33% annually thanks to AI and generative AI—the demand for qualified technicians has never been higher. Yet the skilled workforce needed to maintain these complex systems is thinning.

Schneider Electric’s new hiring effort directly addresses this gap, pairing its workforce needs with a mission-driven talent pipeline.

“Veterans have the mission-focused mindset, problem-solving skills, and leadership qualities that make them invaluable in customer-facing roles,” said Jerome Soltani, Senior Vice President of U.S. Services at Schneider Electric. “By putting veterans at the heart of our Services strategy, we are building a resilient team ready to meet the evolving demands of critical facilities.”

From Service to Civilian Success

The initiative expands on Schneider Electric’s ongoing partnership with the Department of Defense SkillBridge program, which helps transitioning service members gain hands-on training and mentorship before entering civilian careers.

Participants will receive technical instruction, industry certifications, and on-the-job experience to prepare for high-impact roles that offer strong career progression and earning potential.

That commitment has earned Schneider Electric national recognition, including being named a 2025 Gold Military Friendly® Employer, an honor that highlights the company’s leadership in veteran workforce development.

Why It Matters

As the U.S. power grid, cloud infrastructure, and data ecosystems become more interdependent, Schneider Electric’s investment in veteran talent is both strategic and symbolic. Veterans bring operational discipline and adaptability—traits vital in an era where uptime is everything.

With more than 40 U.S. manufacturing, R&D, and service centers, Schneider Electric is doubling down on its U.S. footprint, focusing on modernization, repair, and resilience. By aligning workforce readiness with the nation’s infrastructure priorities, the company is effectively powering both the AI revolution and the American workforce renaissance.
