Andela Inc., one of the world’s largest marketplaces for technical talent, announced four new executive hires to advance its mission of building AI-native developer teams and solutions for enterprises. The new leadership comes from high-growth tech firms, Google, and MIT, reflecting Andela’s focus on precision assessment, continuous learning, and forward-deployed engineering talent.
Developer Excellence Meets AI Fluency
At the core of Andela’s strategy is its Developer Excellence system, which benchmarks, upskills, and deploys technical talent globally. Key pillars include:
-
Precise Assessment: Evaluating engineers’ real-world performance to guide hiring and development decisions.
-
GenAI Learning Programs: Continuous upskilling to close AI skills gaps in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.
-
Mentorship & Community: Supporting hundreds of thousands of software engineers across 100+ countries through mentorship and career pathways.
“The technical hiring landscape is crowded and confusing,” said Carrol Chang, CEO of Andela. “Andela is building the world’s best assessment and continuous learning technology for developers. Our vision isn’t to become a bigger boat—it’s to become the ocean, creating a wave of AI-native, enterprise-fluent talent that every company needs.”

Partnering with GitHub Copilot to train 3,000 developers.

Launching the Andela AI Academy to enhance Generative AI learning programs.
“As AI continues to accelerate, understanding both the job to be done and the person’s ability to do it is critical,” said Singh. “We’re building continuous, multi-modal assessment tools that allow talent to grow while experiencing the joy of learning without the anxiety of being left behind.”
Founded in 2014, Andela has long operated on the principle that brilliance is evenly distributed, but opportunity is not, connecting technologists worldwide with remote work opportunities. With AI reshaping the tech landscape, Andela aims to transform engineers into world-class AI-forward deployed talent, combining continuous learning, real-world project experience, and community mentorship.
