G2A.COM has rolled out Dave, a proprietary AI-powered customer support agent designed to help third-party sellers manage high volumes of customer enquiries across its global digital marketplace. Following a two-month pilot, the autonomous support agent is now available to sellers operating in more than 180 countries, reflecting the growing adoption of AI agents to automate customer service while maintaining oversight and operational accuracy.
As AI agents move from experimental deployments to production environments, digital marketplaces are increasingly embedding autonomous systems into core customer service operations. G2A.COM, one of the world’s largest marketplaces for digital entertainment products, has become the latest company to adopt this approach with the global launch of Dave, an AI-powered customer support agent built to assist third-party sellers.
The platform said Dave was developed to help sellers respond to sudden spikes in customer enquiries, particularly during major video game launches when demand for support can increase sharply. High-profile releases such as Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) often generate significant volumes of requests related to game keys, vouchers, software licences, payments and refunds, placing pressure on marketplace support operations.
Rather than functioning as a traditional chatbot, Dave is designed as an autonomous AI support agent that connects directly with seller transaction records and marketplace data. By accessing verified payment information, order history and seller policies, the system can resolve many customer issues without relying solely on generative AI responses.
This architecture addresses one of the key concerns surrounding enterprise AI adoption—AI hallucinations. Instead of generating answers based only on language models, Dave grounds its responses in verified transactional data, helping reduce the likelihood of inaccurate information when handling sensitive customer support requests.
According to G2A.COM, the AI agent now manages approximately 10,000 customer conversations each week across 180 countries. During its first 63 days of full deployment, Dave processed around 15,000 support tickets, contributing to a 27–30% reduction in cases requiring manual handling by sellers.
The company also reported that the system achieved 93.8% routing accuracy, automatically directing enquiries either to the appropriate marketplace seller or to G2A.COM’s internal support teams when platform-related intervention was required. Dave received an average customer satisfaction rating of 4.16 out of 5, while 74% of users described the automated support experience as easy or very easy.
To strengthen governance, every AI-generated response is evaluated against 13 quality and safety criteria, with the company reporting an average response quality score of 91.2%. Only 0.81% of responses received negative in-chat feedback during the evaluation period, according to company data.
The launch reflects a wider transformation in customer service technology. Rather than deploying AI solely to answer frequently asked questions, enterprises are increasingly introducing AI agents capable of completing business tasks by interacting with operational systems and enterprise data. This evolution is moving customer support from conversational automation towards workflow execution.
Research from Gartner suggests that autonomous AI agents are becoming an increasingly important element of enterprise customer service strategies, enabling organisations to automate more complex workflows while maintaining governance and human oversight. IDC likewise forecasts continued growth in AI-powered customer service investments as organisations seek to improve operational efficiency without proportionally increasing staffing costs.
The competitive landscape is also evolving rapidly. Technology providers including Salesforce, Microsoft, Zendesk, Freshworks, Intercom and ServiceNow have expanded AI agent capabilities that integrate customer conversations with CRM systems, knowledge bases and operational workflows. Increasingly, the differentiator is not the language model itself but the AI agent’s ability to securely access enterprise data and execute business processes.
For online marketplaces, these capabilities are particularly valuable. Customer enquiries often require access to transaction histories, payment verification and seller-specific policies—information that conventional chatbots cannot reliably interpret without backend integration. By combining AI reasoning with structured transactional data, autonomous agents can resolve issues more quickly while reducing escalation rates.
Paweł Wróbel, Chief Growth Officer at G2A.COM, said the company developed Dave to help sellers maintain high-quality customer support during periods of exceptionally high demand. He added that the platform also represents part of G2A.COM’s broader strategy of embedding artificial intelligence into its operational infrastructure rather than treating AI as a standalone productivity tool.
For marketplace operators, e-commerce platforms and digital commerce providers, the launch highlights a growing trend toward AI-native customer operations. As organisations process increasing volumes of customer interactions across multiple channels and languages, autonomous AI agents are emerging as a practical way to improve response times, support scalability and enhance customer experience while allowing human teams to focus on more complex cases.
Market Landscape
Customer service is rapidly evolving from chatbot-based interactions to AI agent-driven operations capable of understanding context, accessing enterprise systems and executing business workflows. Gartner identifies autonomous AI agents as an emerging enterprise technology trend, while IDC projects sustained investment in AI-powered customer experience platforms as organisations seek to automate increasingly sophisticated service processes.
For digital marketplaces, integrating AI with transactional systems is becoming a competitive advantage. Rather than replacing human support teams, AI agents are increasingly handling repetitive, high-volume enquiries while escalating complex issues to human specialists with full conversational context.
