The April 2025 survey of 2,945 full-time U.S. workers highlights how AI has transformed from a productivity booster into a versatile tool for personal and professional growth. Here are the key findings:

  • 1 in 3 workers used AI for work-related tasks in the past month.

  • The most popular uses of AI include:

    • Writing emails: 58%

    • Brainstorming ideas: 56%

    • Summarizing content: 53%

    • Analyzing data: 49%

  • Personal growth also plays a significant role:

    • 47% use AI for goal setting.

    • 44% use it to talk through problems.

    • 27% turn to AI for mental health support.

  • 1 in 5 workers say AI helped them secure a raise or promotion.

  • Nearly 9 in 10 AI users report that AI has made them a better employee.

  • 21% used it to request a raise.

The Mental Health and Confidence Boost from AI

AI is helping employees not just in their work tasks but also in their mental well-being and self-confidence. Among AI users:

  • 60% say AI has improved their mental health.

  • 73% report increased productivity.

  • 87% believe it has made them a better employee.

  • 41% say it has boosted their confidence.

  • 27% attribute a promotion or raise to their use of AI.
