iHire, the industry-specific employment platform, has unveiled a new interview scheduling tool designed to simplify and accelerate the hiring process. By securely syncing with employers’ calendars, the feature allows candidates to book interviews directly through iHire’s applicant tracking system (ATS), eliminating the usual email chains, phone calls, and scheduling headaches.
Speeding Up Hiring and Reducing Ghosting
Available for users with a Job Slot subscription, the tool aims to reduce time-to-hire, improve candidate engagement, and strengthen employer brands. “Our market research and conversations with customers consistently highlight scheduling interviews and candidate ghosting as critical pain points,” said Kyle Gamble, VP of Product at iHire. “This new tool gives recruiters and hiring managers a seamless way to schedule and manage interviews while saving significant time and creating a positive experience for candidates.”
How It Works
Employers can link Outlook, Google, Windows 365, or Apple calendars to iHire’s ATS in seconds. Once synced, they can:
-
Set available dates and times for interviews
-
Link preferred virtual meeting platforms
-
Provide contact details and physical addresses
-
Specify how far in advance candidates can schedule
Candidates receive an email (and optional SMS) to choose from the employer’s available time slots. Both parties then get confirmation emails and calendar invites. The system also allows rescheduling or cancellations directly through iHire, keeping all interviews organized within the Job Tracker or ATS.
Why This Matters
Interview scheduling is often cited as a major friction point in recruiting. By embedding a calendar-based solution directly into the ATS, iHire reduces administrative burden, keeps candidates engaged, and ensures a smoother experience for both recruiters and applicants. For organizations competing for top talent, this kind of efficiency can make a measurable difference in hiring outcomes.
