Paylocity Expands NHL Presence With Five-Year New York Islanders, UBS Arena Partnership

Paylocity (NASDAQ: PCTY), a provider of cloud-based HR, Finance, and IT solutions, is deepening its ties to the National Hockey League (NHL) through a new five-year partnership with the New York Islanders and UBS Arena. The deal names Paylocity the team’s Official Human Capital Management (HCM) Partner, extending the company’s growing influence in professional sports.

Streamlining Team Operations

Under the agreement, Paylocity will deploy its unified HR and payroll platform to help the Islanders simplify and modernize back-office functions. That includes payroll, benefits administration, and employee engagement, freeing up the business team to focus on strategic initiatives that enhance both organizational performance and community impact.

“Allison Windon, VP of Marketing at Paylocity, said the Islanders’ focus on innovation and culture mirrors Paylocity’s mission.**

“The Islanders are dedicated to building a winning culture both on and off the ice, and we’re proud to support that mission that makes their people-first vision possible,” Windon said. “UBS Arena has redefined what it means to be a world-class venue for sports, concerts, and community events—and that same spirit of innovation is at the heart of Paylocity’s one unified platform.”

Giving Back: “Recycle the Game”

The partnership extends beyond the ice with a community-driven focus. Through Paylocity Gives, the company will serve as Presenting Partner of the Islanders’ Recycle the Game program. The initiative, developed in collaboration with the NHL, collects and redistributes gently used hockey equipment to underserved youth players, making the sport more accessible and affordable.

Frank Romano, VP of Finance & Controller for the Islanders, said the partnership is a strong cultural fit.

“Paylocity is a natural fit as our Official HCM Partner,” Romano said. “Their commitment to innovation and community aligns perfectly with our values. Together, we’ll not only enhance the way our organization operates but also broaden the impact of our Recycle the Game program.”

The Bigger Picture

The move builds on Paylocity’s strategy of leveraging high-visibility sports partnerships to showcase how cloud-based HR and finance platforms can improve organizational performance. As sports franchises increasingly embrace digital transformation—from player analytics to front-office operations—Paylocity is positioning itself as a tech partner for both business and community engagement in professional sports.
