Softsquared, an Asia-based Workforce-as-a-Service (WaaS) leader, has unveiled Gridge Observer AI, an AI-driven project management solution designed to optimize distributed teams and improve productivity at scale. The launch marks a significant milestone in Softsquared’s global expansion strategy and comes at a time when hybrid work and gig-based projects are reshaping how companies operate.
According to OECD data, 41% of member countries have embraced hybrid models, yet 82% of organizations still struggle to manage remote teams effectively. Gridge Observer aims to address this gap by converting workforce visibility into actionable productivity gains.
Next-Gen Project Management
Unlike conventional collaboration tools that track activity logs, Gridge Observer acts as an “AI-powered assistant PM.” It integrates with existing project management platforms, providing real-time insights and recommendations to optimize workflows, resolve bottlenecks, and improve resource allocation automatically.
Powered by a proprietary AI engine trained on over 20,785 real-world project datasets, Gridge Observer detects role-task mismatches and underutilized resources with 95% accuracy. Beta testing with 70 companies revealed an average 40% cost savings and a twofold increase in team productivity.
Technology Behind the Tool
At the heart of the solution is Softsquared’s Team Performance Monitoring/Management (TPM) technology, purpose-built for remote and distributed environments. TPM allows managers to track, measure, and optimize team output anytime, anywhere—creating a new standard for performance management in hybrid workplaces.
Proven Impact
In South Korea, Gridge Observer was deployed in Busan as part of a “Micro-Job Creation Program,” enabling geographically constrained professionals to contribute to large-scale projects remotely. The city leveraged AI-driven reporting for quality and schedule control, successfully creating local jobs while reducing talent outflow—a model now recognized nationally as best practice.
Global Ambitions
Softsquared has built a strong foundation for international growth, with 33 patents and trademarks, USD 16,000 in Udemy course exports, and collaborations with the University of Hong Kong and U.S.-based Sire Inc. The company has also secured KRW 4 billion in funding and been designated a Ministry of SMEs and Startups Baby Unicorn, validating both the technology and business model for global markets.
“AI is rapidly automating routine tasks, but the real value lies in how experts leverage it to create greater outcomes,” said Ha Neul Lee, CEO of Softsquared. “Gridge Observer empowers enterprises to collaborate with top talent more effectively—regardless of borders—while maximizing performance at scale.”
Full commercial release of Gridge Observer is scheduled for the second half of 2026, with plans to expand capabilities for connecting enterprises to a global talent pool.
