Strong Tower Consulting Named One of the Best Places to Work in Consulting

Award based on employee survey recognizes company culture and support, leading to a 75% female workforce and celebration of diversity through Inclusion Consulting

Strong Tower Consulting, a Bellevue, Washington-based management-consulting firm, was recently named as one of the Best Places to Work in Consulting by Best Companies Group. This survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in the consulting industry. Through a survey of its employees, Strong Tower was recognized for its unique “Inclusion Consulting” approach to the industry. As a certified Disability-Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE), and a Women Owned Business Enterprise, Strong Tower was founded on the underlying virtues of creating value by bringing more perspectives and ideas to the table, the inclusion and celebration of a wide set of diverse skills and backgrounds, an obsession with client results, an every-day dedication to philanthropy, and a carbon-neutral workplace.

“Based on decades of experience across the consulting industry, we set out to create something that would help clients achieve great results by bringing more diverse ideas to the table,” said Strong Tower Partner Lorna Croswell. “Our diversity-led approach to consulting resonates with our clients and attracts the best of a workforce with a wide range of experience and perspectives, offering them a positive, supportive company culture to continue or build their careers.”

With a workforce of more than 75% female employees, Strong Tower has created unique programs to support women such as the Women’s Leadership and Development Group and Returning Caregivers program, which provide formal and informal mentorship and company-wide initiatives ensuring each woman at Strong Tower can reach her full potential.

“Our consultants are recruited and celebrated for their wide-ranging business and life experiences and are encouraged to apply these very qualities to project work in order to create high value for our clients,” continued Croswell. “We provide our consultants with a transparent environment, free of corporate friction, packed full of positive support, teamwork and mentorship and leadership, while recognizing the vital importance of balance in our daily lives.”

Also popular with employees, Strong Tower operates as a 100% carbon neutral firm, encouraging lower carbon work patterns while offsetting transportation and energy use by investing in clean energy programs and planting one tree for every week worked by each of their team members.

Companies from across the country entered the process to determine the “Best” winners. The process consisted of an employee engagement survey measuring the employee experience in eight core focus areas – Leadership and Planning, Corporate Culture and Communications, Role Satisfaction Work Environment, Relationship with Supervisor, Training, Development & Resources, Pay & Benefits and Overall Engagement.

Since 2019, Strong Tower has been recognized for several other key awards including two time Microsoft Prestige Award Supplier of Year Finalists (2023, 2024), Disability:IN Supplier of the Year (2019), Corporate Champion for Economic Development (2021) – The Puget Sound Business Journal, Washington State’s “100 Best Companies To Work For” (2021, 2022, 2023) – Seattle Business magazine, Washington’s Most Equitable Workplace (2020) – The Puget Sound Business Journal.
