UKG Reimagines HR Tech with AI-Guided Interface for UKG Pro

UKG is giving HR software a sleek, consumer-style makeover. The global workforce technology leader has launched an AI-guided user experience for its flagship UKG Pro® suite, marking one of its most significant design overhauls to date. The new experience—now available for customers to activate—unifies HR, payroll, and workforce management under a single, conversational, and highly intuitive interface.

This redesign isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about redefining how people interact with enterprise software. Everyday tasks—approving timesheets, checking pay, updating personal details, or requesting time off—now take just a few clicks, with AI-driven search and personalization leading the way.

From Clicks to Conversations

At the heart of the new experience is UKG Bryte™ AI, a conversational engine that lets users interact with HR systems as naturally as they would with a chatbot or voice assistant. Instead of navigating menus, employees can simply ask questions or make requests—like “Show me my pay history” or “Approve Sarah’s shift change.”

“UKG Bryte AI introduces a conversational interface that reimagines how people interact with workforce technology,” said Suresh Vittal, Chief Product Officer at UKG. “We’re moving beyond traditional point-and-click systems to a context-driven experience that’s deeply personalized, intuitive, and adaptive.”

The result, Vittal added, is a consumer-level experience built for enterprise scale—a bold promise in a market where HR systems are often criticized for clunky design and complex workflows.

Tested by Thousands, Built for Millions

UKG’s overhaul was no small experiment. More than 180,000 users worldwide participated in beta testing, making it the company’s largest and most successful program to date. Nearly 75% of testers adopted the new interface, a clear signal of user enthusiasm for a simpler, faster way to manage work.

Organizations can roll out the experience at their own pace—an opt-in transition period that allows for gradual adoption ahead of its default rollout in 2026. The approach mirrors the consumer tech world, where seamless updates and familiar UX patterns minimize friction.

A Strategic Move Ahead of UKG Aspire 2025

The debut comes just days before UKG Aspire 2025, the company’s annual user conference taking place Nov. 3–6 at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. With around 5,000 attendees expected—including customers, analysts, and partners—the event will spotlight UKG’s evolution into a true “Workforce Operating Platform” powered by AI, automation, and connected data.

UKG’s bet on AI-guided simplicity places it alongside peers like Workday, Oracle, and SAP, all racing to make HR technology less transactional and more conversational. But UKG’s edge may lie in its deep domain expertise in workforce management—where context, timing, and real-time insights make all the difference.

If UKG’s new interface lives up to its promise, it could redefine what employees expect from enterprise HR systems: fewer clicks, faster answers, and a UX that finally feels like it belongs in 2025.
