WorkWhile Launches AI Talent Agent to Unlock Hourly Workers’ Skills

WorkWhile, an AI-powered labor platform connecting businesses with hourly workers, today announced WorkWhile Coach, a new AI talent agent that assesses worker skills and matches them to a wider range of job opportunities. Unlike traditional hiring software that focuses on single roles, WorkWhile Coach aims to help hourly workers build careers, not just fill jobs.

AI That Expands Opportunities

WorkWhile Coach conducts interactive conversations with workers to uncover skills and experiences they may not have realized or highlighted. These insights are then used to match workers to multiple roles across the WorkWhile platform, increasing mobility and job access.

“Many hiring tools are designed primarily to filter applicants,” said Simon Khalaf, CEO of WorkWhile. “Coach isn’t looking for reasons to reject workers; it’s designed to uncover what they can do and connect them to roles where those skills are valued. AI should expand access to opportunity, not limit it.”

The launch addresses concerns that automated hiring can exclude candidates too early. Research from Resume Now Surveys indicates 45–60% of job seekers use AI to create or polish resumes, yet up to 60% of hiring managers still distrust purely AI-generated applications for being impersonal or generic. WorkWhile Coach sidesteps this by assessing knowledge and skills through conversation and interactive evaluation, rather than relying solely on a résumé.

WorkWhile Certified Professional Program

The first application of Coach will be in the WorkWhile Certified Professional Program for hospitality workers. Workers who meet assessment criteria receive a certification linked to their platform profile, helping them stand out to multiple employers. Final hiring decisions remain in human hands.

“Resumes—and even interviews—often capture only a fraction of what someone can do,” said Alex Long, Head of Product, WorkWhile Marketplace. “Coach goes deeper, helping workers articulate skills they may not have thought to highlight, enabling more complete career matching over time.”

The launch comes during a period of rapid growth for WorkWhile, with reported revenue up 110% over the past nine months. The platform currently serves venues including stadiums, convention centers, and universities across the United States.
