Skilltrade Launches Innovative Training Programs to Address Allied Health Workforce Shortages

Skilltrade, led by Founder and CEO Jason Aubrey, is excited to announce the launch of its innovative training programs that combine online learning with hands-on lab training. These programs also offer tailored solutions for employers, including train-and-hire initiatives and custom curriculum development, addressing critical staffing shortages in the allied health sector.

  • Initial Focus on Medical Assistant Training
The first training program will concentrate on medical assistant training, preparing students to become Certified Clinical Medical Assistants (CCMAs). Skilltrade plans to expand its training offerings in the future, starting with the Medical Assistant Online Program designed to revolutionize education and make high-quality training affordable and accessible.
  • Addressing Workforce Shortages
Skilltrade’s innovative model tackles the urgent need for skilled healthcare professionals, with a projected shortage of 10.2 million allied health workers by 2030. The company aims to graduate 25,000 licensed and credentialed healthcare professionals over the next three years, while forming nationwide partnerships with employers to bridge this workforce gap.
  • Hybrid Training Model Launch
The next phase of the medical assistant training program will commence in January 2025. It will integrate immersive online learning with hands-on lab training conducted by experienced instructors at partner medical facilities after hours. This collaboration allows host sites, such as private practices and hospitals, to generate additional revenue while providing students with flexible and affordable pathways to certification.
  • Strategic Partnerships for Growth
Skilltrade plans to establish 15 new host campuses within six months through strategic partnerships, beginning with Renaissance Plastic Surgery in Michigan. Dr. William Stefani, host partner at Renaissance Plastic Surgery, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “This partnership aligns with our commitment to provide high-quality education and training opportunities in our community.”
  • Collaboration with Medical Sales College
In addition to its training programs, Skilltrade has partnered with Medical Sales College to expand its campus footprint in key markets. Travis Miller, CEO of Medical Sales College, remarked on the partnership’s potential: “We’re excited to partner with Skilltrade to enhance hands-on training and networking opportunities for students.”
  • Employer Partnerships and Tailored Training Solutions
Skilltrade also collaborates with healthcare employers to create a pipeline of pre-screened, qualified candidates. By tailoring training programs to meet specific hiring needs, employers can reduce hiring costs and access a reliable stream of skilled professionals. Selected candidates receive free, high-quality training with guaranteed employment upon completion, ensuring immediate earning potential.
  • Custom Training for Healthcare Organizations
Skilltrade’s partnership with Together Women’s Health includes developing a specialized training program for their medical assistants. Anthony Ahee, CEO of Together Women’s Health, stated, “This initiative reflects our dedication to offering our medical assistants top-notch training and development, empowering them to take on greater responsibilities.”

Skilltrade is poised to make a significant impact on the healthcare workforce by providing innovative training programs that blend online learning with hands-on experiences. Through strategic partnerships and a commitment to tailored training solutions, Skilltrade aims to alleviate the critical shortage of skilled allied health professionals.
