Teal Acquires Ramped to Automate Job Applications and Boost Career Outcomes

Teal, the career development and job search platform used by 4 million professionals, has acquired Ramped, an AI-powered “Autopilot” platform that automates job applications and accelerates hiring outcomes. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition strengthens Teal’s vision of building a comprehensive, end-to-end career platform, combining AI-driven discovery, a fully integrated job board, advanced application tools, and now automated application workflows.

“Ramped’s technology allows us to extend Teal’s platform deeper into the application process, pairing our strategic guidance and integrated job board with an additional layer of AI-driven execution,” said David Fano, Founder and CEO of Teal.

How Ramped Enhances Teal’s Platform

Ramped automates key aspects of job applications while personalizing them for each user. Its Autopilot technology tailors resumes and cover letters and submits applications on behalf of job seekers.

Key features Teal now integrates through Ramped include:

  • AI-powered job discovery with personalized recommendations

  • Integrated job board with verified listings

  • Resume, profile, and application optimization tools

  • Job tracking and workflow management

  • Automated application submission via Ramped’s Autopilot

To date, Ramped has supported over 400,000 job seekers, with active users landing jobs within 90 days by applying more efficiently to broader opportunities.

Strategic Synergy and Leadership Collaboration

The acquisition brings Ramped’s co-founders into Teal in advisory roles:

  • Mitch Deforest, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Ramped, will advise on product integration.

  • Danny Leonard, Co-Founder and CEO of Ramped, will also serve as an advisor to Teal.

“Together, we’re building an AI-first job search experience that helps users focus on the right roles while our automation handles the busywork,” said Mitch Deforest.
“With Teal’s platform and reach, we can bring those results to millions more job seekers worldwide,” added Danny Leonard.

The companies stress that Ramped users will smoothly transition to Teal, gaining access to Teal’s suite of career tools, including its industry-leading resume builder, job tracker, and AI career guidance features.

Why This Matters for the Job Market

This acquisition reflects a growing trend in career technology: combining AI-driven strategy and automation to reduce friction in job searching. In increasingly competitive labor markets, platforms that streamline applications, optimize materials, and personalize job discovery are becoming essential tools for professionals seeking efficiency and measurable outcomes.

For Teal, integrating Ramped’s capabilities positions the platform as a one-stop career solution, supporting users across every stage—from exploration and application to placement. It also reflects a larger industry focus on AI-powered career enablement, blending human guidance with automation to deliver better outcomes at scale.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Teal

With Ramped integrated, Teal aims to:

  • Offer AI-first automation to job seekers worldwide

  • Increase application efficiency and success rates

  • Provide end-to-end career support, including job tracking, resume building, and AI career guidance

  • Expand the platform’s reach to millions more users seeking clarity, confidence, and actionable support in their career transitions

By combining strategic guidance, integrated tools, and automated workflows, Teal is creating a more seamless, comprehensive, and effective job search experience, potentially reshaping the future of career platforms.
