HR Path Expands DACH HRTech Footprint With tts Deal

HR technology services provider HR Path is expanding its presence across Germany, Austria and Switzerland with the addition of tts digital HR experts, strengthening its capabilities around SAP SuccessFactors, SAP HCM and HR application management. The move continues a multi-year DACH expansion strategy as enterprises accelerate the modernization of core HR, payroll and workforce technology.

HR technology transformation is increasingly becoming a regional scale game. Enterprises operating across multiple countries need HR platforms that can handle local requirements while still supporting standardized processes, cloud migration and global workforce operations. HR Path is expanding its position in that market with the addition of tts digital HR experts, an HR technology consultancy specializing in SAP systems.

The transaction adds expertise in SAP SuccessFactors, SAP HCM and HR Application Management to HR Path’s existing advisory, implementation and outsourcing business. For customers, the combination is designed to provide access to a broader set of HR technology services across the full lifecycle—from strategy and implementation through ongoing application support.

HR Path has built a sizable international HR services operation since its founding in 2001. The company now operates across 34 countries with more than 2,900 professionals, according to the company. Its expansion in the DACH region has accelerated through a series of acquisitions and partnerships aimed at building local consulting and technology capabilities.

The addition of tts digital HR experts is the latest step.

Founded in 2008 as part of the tts group, tts digital HR experts has developed expertise around SAP’s HR technology ecosystem. Its teams operate across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Romania, giving HR Path additional regional and offshore delivery capacity for multinational HR transformation projects.

The strategic rationale is straightforward: SAP remains deeply embedded in enterprise HR environments, while organizations are simultaneously moving from legacy SAP HCM deployments toward cloud-based platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors.

That transition can be complicated. HR departments need to migrate employee and organizational data, redesign processes, integrate payroll and finance systems, maintain regulatory compliance and support employees through changes to how they interact with HR technology. For multinational companies, the challenge is multiplied by differences in labor regulations, payroll structures and organizational practices between countries.

A consulting and managed-services provider that can support those processes across several markets can therefore become an important part of the transformation stack.

HR Path says tts digital HR experts will strengthen its SAP SuccessFactors, SAP HCM and application-management capabilities across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The company will also be able to combine those capabilities with its broader international network and existing HR consulting and outsourcing services.

The acquisition fits into a wider DACH expansion that has unfolded over several years.

HR Path integrated Gaius HR in 2020 and Hamburg-based Fischer Group International, or FGI, in 2022. It acquired Munich-based Talent at Work in 2025 and subsequently strengthened its German payroll outsourcing presence. In Switzerland, the company acquired smahrt consulting AG in 2025 to reinforce its HR IT and SAP capabilities.

HR Path also became the first Workday Value-Added Reseller in the DACH region, according to the company. That detail illustrates another feature of the enterprise HR software market: organizations increasingly need implementation partners capable of navigating multiple major platforms rather than committing to a single technology ecosystem.

SAP and Workday are among the vendors competing for the next generation of enterprise HR workloads, while Microsoft continues to expand its role in workplace software and AI. That competition is changing what businesses expect from HR technology partners.

Implementation alone is no longer enough.

Enterprises increasingly want partners that can advise on platform strategy, execute transformation projects, integrate applications and provide ongoing operational support. HR Path’s Advise, Implement and Outsource model is designed around that lifecycle.

The timing also reflects a broader shift toward cloud HR and skills-based workforce management. SAP has continued moving customers toward its cloud HR portfolio, while AI is increasingly being integrated into recruiting, employee experience, workforce planning and HR service delivery.

For HR departments, however, the migration to modern HR platforms remains a major operational undertaking. Legacy systems often contain years of employee records, customized workflows and integrations with payroll, finance, identity management and other enterprise applications. Replacing or modernizing those systems requires more than deploying new software.

It requires implementation expertise and long-term application management.

That is where the tts addition could be most relevant. Its SAP-focused consulting background gives HR Path deeper technical resources for organizations already running SAP HCM or considering SuccessFactors migration. The broader HR Path organization, meanwhile, can provide complementary services around advisory, implementation and outsourcing.

The combination also gives HR Path more capacity to serve companies with cross-border requirements. DACH businesses often operate internationally, while global companies need local expertise when deploying HR systems in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The competitive question will be whether HR Path can turn that geographic footprint into a differentiated service model. Regional presence alone is not enough in a market where large global systems integrators, specialist SAP consultancies and software vendors’ own partner ecosystems are competing for transformation budgets.

Still, consolidation is likely to remain a feature of the HR technology services market. As enterprise HR systems become more interconnected—and as organizations layer AI, analytics and automation on top of core platforms—the expertise required to implement and manage those environments is becoming broader.

HR Path’s latest expansion reflects that reality. The company is not simply adding another SAP consultancy to its portfolio. It is building a larger regional delivery network around the idea that modern HR transformation spans software, consulting, implementation, payroll and ongoing operations.

For enterprises in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, that could translate into a single partner with a wider range of capabilities across the HR technology lifecycle. For HR Path, the tts deal represents another step toward becoming a major regional platform for enterprise HR transformation.

Market Landscape

The DACH HR technology market is being shaped by cloud HR migration, SAP SuccessFactors adoption, Workday deployments, HR application management and increasing demand for integrated payroll and workforce technology.

SAP’s transition toward cloud-based HR creates continuing opportunities for implementation specialists, particularly for enterprises modernizing legacy SAP HCM environments. At the same time, Workday and other cloud HR platforms are competing for large transformation projects.

AI adds another layer. HR organizations are increasingly looking beyond core HCM toward AI-powered recruiting, employee service, skills intelligence and workforce analytics. That favors service providers with expertise across multiple applications and the ability to manage integrations over time.

HR Path’s acquisition strategy positions it for that convergence, particularly in DACH, where local regulatory and implementation knowledge can be as important as technical platform expertise.
