Semos Cloud has added its AI agents to the partner AI catalog in SAP Discovery Center, giving SAP customers a way to evaluate AI tools that connect employee and culture signals with enterprise HR data. The platform is targeting areas including recognition, employee development, listening, communications, rewards, benefits and pay equity, with governance and tenant-level data controls built into its SAP deployment model.
Semos Cloud is expanding its position within the SAP HR ecosystem by making its AI agents available through the partner AI catalog in SAP Discovery Center. The move gives SAP customers a centralized way to explore AI capabilities designed to connect people and culture data with enterprise HR information.
The company’s five agent listings cover recognition and rewards, employee development, employee listening and communications, people and culture insights, and rewards, benefits and pay equity. Semos Cloud says the offering is designed for enterprise HR teams that want to introduce AI into employee and manager workflows while maintaining control over sensitive workforce information.
Governance is a central part of the company’s positioning. Semos Cloud’s agents run on SAP AI Core through the Generative AI hub, with processing and storage remaining within the customer’s tenant, according to the company. Role-based access controls and audit trails are also intended to provide visibility into agent activity.
Employees and managers can access the agents through SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Joule, with support for agent-to-agent (A2A) communication and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
That architecture addresses one of the major challenges surrounding generative AI adoption in HR: connecting AI capabilities to sensitive employee information without creating additional data-management and compliance risks. HR systems contain compensation, performance, feedback and other information that requires tightly controlled access.
Semos Cloud’s broader platform, Semos IQ, is designed to bring multiple people-related signals into a governed context alongside HR data from an organization’s HCM system. Those signals can include employee recognition, survey responses, feedback, compensation information, communications and manager interactions.
The company says AI agents can use that shared context to recommend actions. For example, an agent could alert a manager when a high-performing employee has not received recognition for an extended period or identify an unused rewards budget approaching expiration.
Human approval remains part of the workflow for actions affecting employees. That human-in-the-loop approach is particularly relevant for HR deployments, where automated recommendations can influence employee experience, compensation and talent decisions.
Recognition is the initial focus for Semos IQ. Semos Cloud says it has accumulated a decade of recognition-behavior data from customers and now connects recognition information with employee listening, total rewards and talent development through a shared employee record. The company says more than 20 agents operate across these areas.
The development also illustrates a broader transition in HR technology from isolated AI assistants toward systems capable of coordinating multiple workforce processes. Instead of using generative AI primarily to summarize documents or answer employee questions, agent-based HR platforms are increasingly being positioned to identify signals, recommend actions and trigger workflows.
SAP’s ecosystem provides an important enterprise context for that shift. Semos Cloud holds Expert-level competency in SAP Business AI Platform across artificial intelligence foundation, application development and automation, database and data management, and integration.
Enterprise deployment is another focus. Semos Cloud points to Deloitte’s Recognition Hub, developed with the company on the SAP Business AI Platform and launched for professionals in the United States and India. The implementation is designed to keep recognition activity within Deloitte’s SAP environment while applying its organizational values and approval rules.
The company also says its customers span more than 25 industries, including technology, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare and retail. Its platform supports multinational workforces and employees who may access programs through mobile devices, kiosks or SMS.
SAP itself uses Semos Cloud technology for recognition and communications. According to Semos Cloud, SAP Appreciate and SAP CommsHub support programs for more than 100,000 employees and recorded over 500,000 recognitions in 2025.
For HR leaders, the significance of Semos Cloud’s SAP catalog presence is less about adding another generative AI assistant and more about integrating AI into governed workforce data environments. As enterprises move from HR AI experimentation toward production deployments, data residency, permissions, auditability and human oversight are becoming core requirements alongside model performance.
Market Landscape
Enterprise HR technology is moving toward AI agents that can operate across employee experience, talent management, rewards and workforce data rather than functioning solely as conversational assistants. SAP’s broader Business AI ecosystem reflects this transition toward embedded AI within enterprise workflows.
The Semos Cloud announcement also highlights a key adoption issue: HR organizations need AI systems that can work with sensitive employee information while preserving governance, access controls and human oversight. Integrating people signals with core HCM data could make agentic AI more useful for proactive workforce decisions.
